Lifelong Learning

I just watched the "7 1/2 Habits of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners" video and I loved it!! I love learning new things, especially things involving technology. It is wonderful that the internet has brought any kind of learning that you can imagine right to your fingertips.
Of the 7 1/2 Habits discussed, the hardest for me to achieve would be Habit 3: View problems as challenges. Sometimes problems to me are ROADBLOCKS that just stop the whole process. I like the idea of viewing them as challenges or maybe puzzles to be solved. I love solving puzzles.
The easiest habit would be Habit 6: Use technology to your advantage. As I said before, I love technology. I love trying every new gadget (that I can afford), and then try to figure out how it can best be used in my life in as many ways as possible (to get my money's worth).
I think the Learning Contract is a wonderful idea. Not only can the contract be used to acheive learning goals, but if could be easily modified to be used for any goal you would like to accomplish in life. I would possibly add in an accountability feature to make the contract more effective. For example, show your contract to someone else, such as a friend or employer. And then when it is time to "check in" on your contract, they can see how well you are doing. I feel that sometimes people do better if they are accountable to someone else.
I am really looking forward to participating in Nebraska Learns 2.0.
